Some customers may experience a delay when trying to create a new email address, or alias, for their Outlook.com account. This issue has been mitigated and we are continuing to monitor the issue to ensure stability. The root cause was the deployment of an incorrect campaign data file, which led to false positive campaign detection. We have since reverted to the right data file and the outbound email flow has returned to a normal state. We also released a new rule that corrected the wrong campaign verdict for all impacted customers during the incident.

Contact someone directly by selecting Start chat or Send email. For contacts, you can select Filter in the upper right to select what to display in the list and how to sort. If you decide you don’t want the calendar you created, right-click the calendar and select Remove. Under Calendars, My calendar is the default selection and displays the calendar in Month view.

Although it’s not possible at the moment to turn the feature off entirely, you can choose to remove it from your favorites list by right clicking the folder and selecting Remove from Favorites. To help you get rid of these duplicates, we have released a fix which will automatically clean up your contact list. This fix will clean up duplicate contacts for end users starting August 9, 2023. Rollout of the fix to all users will take few weeks, so, some users may see the fix applied by the end of September. It could be as simple as an out-of-date version of Outlook’s software. Once an update has been run on your system, the bug may be rectified. Here is a list of things to try to stop getting that pesky password prompt after every action you do on Outlook. If you are using Gmail or Google Workspace as well as the Outlook calendar, it would be nice to have them populated with the same information. Here is how to make sure your Outlook is showing the same information as your Google Calendar. It might be that antivirus software is trying to block a function that is repeatedly trying to squeeze through the firewall.

There are several possible reasons why Outlook behaves this way. Outlook Error 0x a shows an error of server timeout with Outlook’s receive/ send functionality. This error is caused due to connectivity problems and inappropriate settings with the files of Outlook data. Some configurational changes or default features of antivirus can restrict the connectivity of your Outlook to the server. You can either manually disable such features from your antivirus program or temporarily uninstall the antivirus from your machine.

Set up your account manually as an IMAP or POP account in Outlook. After installing the September Public Update, Outlook 2007 displays mixed languages in the user interface. You can start Outlook in safe mode, disable your add-ins, and then try to open Outlook normally.

Then, each item in your calendar folder is checked for known problems that can cause unexpected behavior, such as meetings that seem to be missing. After you’ve selected a task, you can use the details pane to do things like add more information, add steps, or mark as important. You can view more than one calendar at a time, add other calendars, choose which calendar to display, and create new calendars. You can use the Inbox Repair tool (SCANPST.EXE) to diagnose and repair errors in your Outlook data file. The Inbox Repair tool checks the Outlook data files on your computer to see if they’re in good shape. Use the People page to find, view, create, and edit contacts and contact lists.

Switch your alias to an Outlook.com or Hotmail.com account. Customers using the contact support buttons at the foot of the support pages, or the “email us” links in support Virtual Agent, are unable to open the Help Pane. Check that you have not accidentally blocked the Gmail domain when blocking one Gmail user.

Occasionally, classic Outlook tries to run a process in the background. Auto-archive, sending and receiving a very large attachment, or running some of the other mailbox tools can all be done in the background. Check the status bar at the bottom of the screen to see if another process is running. If so, wait a short time (usually two or three minutes) to see if Outlook starts working again. If you can’t choose any of the menu options, type inside an email message, calendar event, or contact, Outlook may have Outlook repair support team frozen.
